This Privacy Policy explains how Playlist Manager (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and safeguards information when you connect your music platform accounts (Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Spotify) to manage your playlists.

Overview

We request only the permissions required to manage your playlists and related library items on the music platforms you authorize. We do not sell your data and we do not collect unnecessary personal information.

Information We Collect

Account and identifiers

Platform-specific user identifiers (e.g., provider user ID)
Authentication tokens and scopes provided by the platform after you grant access

Playlist and library data

Playlist metadata (name, description, IDs) and playlist contents (track IDs, order)
Track and artist metadata used to operate and sync playlists (e.g., title, artist, album IDs)

Technical data

Logs necessary to diagnose issues and improve reliability (non-sensitive operational metadata)

Note: We do not collect your passwords. Authentication is handled by each music platform via their official OAuth or similar flows.

How We Use Your Information

To create, edit, and maintain playlists on the platforms you authorize
To look up tracks, artists, and playlist contents to perform requested actions
To synchronize or normalize playlist data across different platforms (when applicable)
To troubleshoot and improve the app’s functionality and reliability

Permissions by Platform

Apple Music

We use Apple Music’s APIs to access your library and playlists you authorize, and to add or remove items in playlists per your actions. We do not access content outside the permissions you grant.

Amazon Music

We use Amazon Music permissions to read and modify your playlists where you grant access. Tokens are used only to perform playlist-related operations.

Tidal

We use Tidal’s authentication to read playlist and track metadata and to update playlists you manage.

Spotify

We use Spotify’s scopes (e.g., playlist read/write) to manage playlists you select, and may read track and artist metadata to perform requested operations.

Exact scopes depend on the operations you request; we ask for the minimum necessary to complete those operations.

Data Storage and Security

Access tokens and minimal operational data are stored only as needed to operate the app.
Depending on your setup, storage may be local files or a configured database.
We implement reasonable safeguards to protect tokens and operational logs.

In some setups, provider-specific auth records may be stored locally (e.g., spotify_auth_records.json, tidal_auth_records.json). You can revoke access at any time via the music platform’s account settings.

Data Retention

Authentication tokens are retained only while needed to provide functionality and are removed or invalidated upon logout or revocation.
Playlist metadata and cached lookup data may be retained to improve performance and are pruned periodically.
You may request deletion of cached data where applicable.

Third-Party Services

The app interacts with Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, and Spotify via their official APIs. Your use of those services is subject to their respective privacy policies and terms. We do not control those platforms.

Your Rights

Access: You may request a copy of the data that we manage in the app context.
Deletion: You may request deletion of locally stored tokens and cached data.
Revocation: You can revoke access from each platform’s account settings at any time.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
